TELEMUNDO and HGSCA Join Forces to Benefit the Hispanic Community in Houston

On March 13, Luis W. Moyano, President of HGSCA and Yomaira Torres, Director of Events visited TELEMUNDO Houston to explore the possibility to join forces to benefit the Hispanic Community.

As a result of that meeting Telemundo and HGSCA announced a content agreement that will communicate the reach and mission of HGSCA. The goal of this joint venture is to help the Hispanic community learn more about the programs and benefits that our organization offers as part of a powerful global network anchored in formal city-to-city agreements. The Mayor’s Office of Trade and International Affairs is the city’s liaison to Houston’s sister city associations, the national governing organization, Sister Cities International, and the local Sister Cities of Houston organization.

There are eighteen sister cities, strategically positioned throughout the world which translate into long-term relationships that give you access to international opportunities and resources.

Luis Moyano, President of HGSCA exclaimed, "We are committed to help not only Guayaquil but our Hispanic Community in Houston by inviting all of you to be part of our organization. The agreement between Telemundo and HGSCA will create great opportunities for the Hispanic Market."

HGSCA is a non-profit organization (501c3) created to foster cultural and educational exchange, medical assistance, tourism, art, commercial trade opportunities and good will between Guayaquil, Ecuador and Houston, Texas.

We achieve these goals by establishing relations and cooperation between individuals, organizations, and institutions from the two cities. Consequently, our Board of Directors is composed of not only Ecuadorians-Americans but Venezuelans-Americans, and Mexican-Americans. We are truly looking forward to create a unified and diversified group to help others to succeed, therefore we invite people from any nationality to join our cause.
