Luis W. Moyano
A successful IT professional with 15 years of experience who believes that everyone has a responsibility to give back in some way or another to society and the community in which they live. He is well known for his long-standing commitment and enthusiasm, as well as his personal and professional volunteer service to diverse organizations in our community
Luis Wilson Moyano was born in Guayaquil, Ecuador on April 14th. He graduated from prestige Escuela Superior Politecnica del Litoral in 1992 with a Bachelor in Science in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems.
After graduating in Guayaquil, Ecuador, he migrated to Houston, Texas in 1994 to further his education. He attended Houston Community College and the University of Houston where he graduated in 2000 with a Master of Science in Information Systems, MIS. While pursuing his studies, he worked in different Houston Community College and University of Houston departments where he developed long-term relationships.
After graduating he went to work for G&A Partners, a Human Resources Outsourcing Company where he has been working as the Information Technology Manager for the last 15 years. As such, he oversees the technology Infrastructure backbone of the company headquarters and its branches across the Texas main cities, Utah, Arizona, Minneapolis, and Costa Rica.
Last year, G&A Partners recognized Luis W with an award for his above and beyond contributions to the growth of the Company. Luis W. also assists in Cuidado Nutricional del Niño, Inc. a child nutritional program whose main goal is to make sure kids between the ages of birth to 12 years of age are well fed following government nutritional guidelines.
He joined Houston Guayaquil Sister City Association (HGSCA), as its treasurer in 2010. HGSCA is a member of Houston Sister Cities, a diplomacy network entity whose main purpose is to strength and partner with International Communities in the areas of business, education, culture, and medicine.
Luis Wilson Moyano is currently president of HGSCA. He is fluent in English and Spanish. Luis W. has also volunteered for Association of Ecuadorians in Houston (AEH). In 2016, he was part of the new elections committee to bring a new board to AEH.
His areas of interest are Technology, Economics, Politics and Community relationships.
