As part of our mission we are always looking for ways to create bilateral cooperation agreements that benefit our Houston and Guayaquil communities. Therefore, a goodwill gesture from Manuel Uquillas, Guayaquil Barcelona Sporting Club Football Soccer Legend of the 90's, creates the opportunity to explore teamwork and collaboration between The Dynamos, from Houston, Texas and HGSCA.

Now, that fans of the beautiful game have numeric proof of its growing popularity in Houston, Texas, Luis W. Moyano, President of HGSCA, Yomaira Torres, Project Leader and Events Director, and the team are brainstorming ways to invite the Houston Dynamos and Soccer Teams from Guayaquil to exchange ideas and expertise by taking advantage of the Houston Guayaquil Sister City Association mission to foster educational exchange, commercial trade opportunities, and goodwill between Guayaquil and Houston.
Manuel Uquillas, Guayaquil BSC Football Soccer Legend of the 90's, and Chris Canetti exchanged T-shirts as a token of appreciation.
We hope this first step becomes fruitful and the beginning of another great story to prove that the Sister Cities Program was, is, and will be the key to link up with the citizens of other countries in an effort to bring “citizen diplomacy.”
